Dear Dr. Kelm

When I read a flier stating “high power laser technology offers new hope for Neuropathy suffers” I was intrigued.  I had neuropathy on both feet due to surgery for tarsal tunnel that left me with acute pain, numbness, burning, and on medication for pain.  I am a very active individual however my symptoms limited my daily activities and hindered getting a good night sleep.  I preferred to stay home than to put on shoes and go out.

Thinking this was yet another scheme to get people in the door I took a leap of faith and called to setup an appointment for the free neuropathy evaluation ($100 value).  I felt it would be worth twenty minutes of my time to see what you had to offer and how quick and easy it was to be free of pain.  Faith must have been on my side, because on my first visit I had an opportunity to talk to two women; one coming in for one of her appointments and the other leaving from her appointment.  My question to both of them was, “has the treatments helped you and are you satisfied with the results”?  To my surprise, both were extremely pleased with their results and completely satisfied.  Ok, Ok…that made me feel a little more comfortable and a “little” less skeptical but I still had some reservations.

After the evaluation, and based on my condition, it was determined I would need approximately five treatments.  Well, today was my last treatment, and like the other women, I am extremely happy with my results and very satisfied with the outcome.  On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest level of pain, I went from a pain level of 10 to zero with the new non-invasive high power laser treatments.

I am writing to say, “thank you” for making my life happier and free of neuropathy pain.  I was the best twenty minutes of my time!  You and your staff are wonderful and I intend to spread the word.

 Sincerely,

Jo Ann M. A

“...tried Anodyne treatments & nothing worked…

For almost 20 years I’ve tried so many medications, had so many side effects & tried anodyne treatments & nothing worked.  I couldn’t sleep & standing & walking was getting worse.

With laser treatment therapy I can sleep better & my feet don’t burn & num as much as before.

“I am amazed at the degree to which my symptoms have been eliminated”

Dr. Kelm’s ad for treatment of neuropathy intrigued me.  I made an initial diagnostic appointment and was impressed by Dr. Kelm, the Pinnacle staff and my chance for a successful outcome after treatment

I am about to complete my treatments and am amazed at the degree to which my symptoms have been eliminated.  I am now walking normally and 90% of the numbness in my feet is gone.  You can’t imagine how great it is to know my feet are now “firmly” on the ground.

“…it’s painless and the only feeling is warmth…”

I have suffered with pain of Neuropathy for many years and tried many Medications and pain rubs to get relief but none have really helped, or helped only for a short time.  So when I heard of your Laser Technology  we had to try it.

(My experience so far has been) good, it’s painless and the only feeling is warmth the technologist is a very nice young man vary sensitive to my pain.  I must say is seems to have improves some of my feet pain.

“My hope is that the VA Hospital will recognize this treatment and send all the Veterans that are suffering from similar symptoms to get help from this laser treatment.”

I started coming in for treatments because…

No Hope!!

My home health care nurse found out about this treatment and recommended that I try it because my Neuropathy was getting worse and the various medications the V.A. was suppling me was having no positive effect

My first visit to the clinic was in a wheel chair, after several treatments I progressed to crutches and then to just a cain.  My Numbness in toes went from can’t wiggle toes to full movement on all toes.  The feeling of walking on broken glass has gone away.  My toes are still sensitive but it does not feel like I just kicked a bowling ball when I bump my foot on one of my socks laying on the floor.  My hope is that the VA Hospital will recognize this treatment and send all the Veterans that are suffering from similar symptoms to get help from this laser treatment.  The other plus is no more morphine and narcotics to cover over the pain.

Sometimes we are asked if we ever have anyone come in who is NOT a good candidate for care.  The answer to that is yes!  The purpose of the initial visit is to see if this treatment is something that could work for you.  If, after the exam, we think that you would be a good candidate for care, we can then give you our recommendation on what it will take to improve your condition.  If we don’t think that this treatment will work for you then we will tell you that as well.

Below is something written by a gentleman who came in with burning pain in his right leg.  Turns out the Dr. thought that it was more of a musculoskeletal condition and gave the gentleman some stretches to do at home that should do the trick for him.  He was happy as a clam!

I met with Dr. Helm(sic) and he gave me some stretching exercises to do at home.  If they do not give me some relief in about three weeks, I can come back for an exam and possible laser treatment.

Another couple flew in from Georgia for the consultation

My 1st visit brought to light the information we kind of expected to get at the Mayo Clinic which took over 4 days & here we got information that explained many things about my condition in less than 10 minutes.  I will be following up with treatment in the near future.  Finally there is help on the horizon.  Thanks to Dr. Kelm!
